Have a look at the specs for the U-2 stepper translator IC.  Converts step and direction pulses to phase signals for two unipolar stepping motors.

 I also have an assortment of small servo motors that are ideal for robotics projects.  I'll be posting these up shortly, but in the meantime e-mail me if you're interested.
