This is a robust, efficient CNC interpreter for driving machines with up to 8 axes of motion.

Version 5 is the first TurboCNC version to run natively in Windows, which helps productivity immensely by allowing you to run both the CAD system and the machine from the same computer.

No more "sneakernet", boot disks or figuring out how to setup USB drives in DOS.  In addition, the interface is much better with the addition of a graphical toolpath viewer and familiar GUI.

  Download the beta  (1.3 M)

The beta version is limited to 100 lines of code that can be executed. Pricing for this new version has not yet been established yet.

Programming for this port to Windows was done by AST Industria, a long time user of the DOS based TurboCNC.

Here's a video of it running (WMV, 9.3M) at their shop in Brazil.

System Requirements:

  • PC running Windows 2000, XP, Vista
  • Available parallel port for IO

Feature set is essentially the same as v4.01, with the addition of a toolpath graphic display (currently lathe only)

Check out the TurboCNC User's Forum with well over two thousand users sharing ideas and advice. If you're not registered with YahooGroups, you'll need to do so to participate, but you can read it anonymously.
